Description A national full-service litigation firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their San Francisco team and provide critical support as the office ramps up for a busy summer of trials. This is a full-time role with the potential to convert to a permanent position, though the firm is open to bringing someone on strictly for the trial period if preferred.The selected candidate will support a team of 3-4 attorneys on a variety of civil litigation matters. The firm is looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can independently manage litigation support tasks, and brings strong technical proficiency to the table. Key Responsibilities: + Draft, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery + Create TOCs/TOAs using MS Word, Best Authority, or Westlaw Drafting Assistant + Manage court filings in state and federal courts via PACER, File& Serve Xpress, and One Legal + Handle case calendaring, deposition scheduling, and coordination with court reporters and interpreters + Prepare and finalize PDF documents (Bates stamping, redactions, OCR, bookmarks, e-signatures) + Communicate with clients and outside counsel; maintain case files in the firm's DMS + Provide traditional legal secretarial support: correspondence, phones, scheduling, and file maintenance Requirements Qualifications: + 5+ years of experience as a litigation legal secretary in a law firm setting + Strong knowledge of civil procedure and local court rules + Proven ability to support trial-heavy caseloads + Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro, iManage, and e-filing platforms + Familiarity with tools such as Westlaw Drafting Assistant, CompuLaw, Dropbox, DocuSign, and NextCloud + Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently This is a great opportunity to step into a key role during a high-volume period and demonstrate your value in a well-respected litigation firm.
