PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER II (LIMITED TERM - FULL TIME) / DIABLO RANGE DISTRICT / DELTA SECTOR / BRANNAN ISLAND SRA/ SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA.

The reporting location for this position is Brannan Island SRA in Sacramento County near Rio Vista, CA. This position will work under the direction of the Staff Park and Recreation Specialist.

Diablo Range District is looking for a Park Maintenance Worker II position to perform skilled and semi-skilled structural and facility maintenance and repair work throughout the Delta Sector on a wide variety of park facilities, including buildings, systems, grounds, roads and trails; estimates and purchases materials and supplies; keeps tools and equipment in good condition; keeps records and prepares reports as required. The incumbent will act as lead and train a crew of maintenance employees and/or partner conservation corpsmembers. This position may require heavy physical work including lifting, pushing or pulling.  

Training and development Assignments may be considered.

This position is designated as not telework eligible . 

This position is a 12- month Limited-Term position that may be extended.

Park Maintenance Worker I will also be considered for recuritment purposes.

Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) , this is a sensitive position, and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing. It should be noted that testing is not mandatory, but is allowed to be conducted only if and when there is a determination of reasonable suspicion as defined in CCR .

Working Conditions

Typical work activities involve frequent periods of bending, stooping and lifting. Perform indoor and outdoor work often in inclement weather. May have extensive exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. May work in remote locations May require heavy physical work including lifting, pushing or pulling. Read, write and understand English   

Special Requirements
