The Field Technology Lead will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s jobsite monitoring technology program, overseeing the deployment and support of connected hardware and mobile applications on commercial job sites nationwide. This is a hands-on, high-visibility position with opportunities for growth, where you will help shape operational best practices, ensure seamless technology integration, and represent the needs of field users and customers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute deployments of field technology systems, including scheduling, logistics, and resource management
• Manage inventory, coordinate equipment deliveries, and ensure job site readiness for technology installations
• Identify optimal locations for equipment placement on roofs or building envelopes
• Lead installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of connected field hardware and mobile applications on commercial job sites
• Train and support field teams on technology use and best practices
• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards, ensuring all work meets quality and safety protocols
• Maintain system accuracy by registering, tracking, and updating devices, especially during field replacements
• Monitor data integrity across dashboards and vendor systems, escalating and resolving anomalies as needed
• Configure and support alert workflows using platforms such as Twilio (SMS, WhatsApp)
• Serve as a field-facing representative for property managers, building owners, and other customers, gathering feedback to inform product improvements
• Collaborate with sales, IT, software vendors, and leadership to enhance system scalability, reliability, and usability
• Document deployments, changes, issues, and resolutions accurately
• Provide onboarding support and training to new field team members as the team grows
• Occasionally participate in after-hours on-call escalation as required

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in technical operations, field deployment, or IT support roles
• Intermediate knowledge of commercial roofing systems and building equipment
• Familiarity with safety practices, especially when working at heights or on roofs
• Experience working safely on active construction job sites with general contractors, property managers, or installation crews
• Experience managing project plans or coordinating technology rollouts
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to interact with internal stakeholders and external customers
• Comfortable working with connected hardware, mobile apps, and cloud dashboards
• Ability to travel up to 30% for installations, field visits, training, or customer meetings
• Experience with field-based technology (IoT, sensors, telemetry, MDM) is preferred
• Familiarity with customer portals, mobile-first SaaS platforms, or jobsite technology is a plus
• Exposure to messaging/alerting tools such as Twilio, WhatsApp API, or SMS platforms is a plus
• Prior experience providing mentorship or onboarding support to new field team members is a plus
• Work from home is not available; this is a hybrid role based primarily at the Phoenix headquarters with on-site work as needed
• Ability to work on roofs and active construction sites, including ladder and scaffold access, in all weather conditions deemed safe by the company
• Pre-placement physical required
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
